Ilam province has various and ancient handicrafts, dating back to many years ago.

This province is also a tribal region and its handicrafts mainly Kilim with embossed patterns that it has a famous nationally.

The most important handicrafts of the province are: wickerwork, silk and wooden products, felt carpet, Ahrami (a type of cotton fabric which has two colors), Giveh (a type of traditional Iranian footwear), Chiq (a type of texture which is made of straw, goat’s hair or cotton thread), etc.
